Commenting on the new event, Festival Directors Ian Whittaker and Ben Hall stated: “After The Great Estate Festival this year, we decided we wanted to run a smaller event at Scorrier House and came up with the idea of ‘Return of the Secret Gin Garden’. We think everyone will agree that the Secret Gin Garden is one of the most loved corners of The Great Estate and that’s why we’ve decided to bring back our little juniper berry flavoured garden for a one-night extravaganza this August.
Starting the evening in style, Wine Wild Club will be on hand to serve a three-course meal and delicious gin infused cocktails. The gastronomic adventure will showcase Cornwall’s finest local produce and explore a variety of exotic gins from across the country. Seating guests within the four walls of a derelict horse shed, the unique dining experience is hosted by Sommelier Debbie Warner and her team. Diners get to marvel at the roaring open fire as onsite chefs cook up a feast in preparation for the intimate, candle lit, long table banquet.
As guests wander along winding pathways, stumble across hidden openings and relax amongst blossom-filled borders, The Return of the Secret Gin Garden will showcase a variety of musical talent throughout the duration of the evening.

Quick Panda Productions are the creators of The Great Estate, Little Orchard Cider & Music Festival, Electric Beach Festival and The Return of the Secret Gin Garden. Looking back over the past eight years, Company Director Ben Hall said “It has been a fantastic adventure running events here in Cornwall. What began as small gigs on the beach has since developed into major music festivals with a 7,000 capacity each day. Undoubtedly, it has been a real learning curve and at times, a bit of a rollercoaster. The events industry is booming in Cornwall at the moment, but it certainly isn’t an easy market to tap into. There is lots of competition and outdoor events are heavily affected by the weather, but it is always extremely exciting and very rewarding.”
