Jess Glynne Confirmed for Live in the Wyldes 2019

Live in The Wyldes are thrilled to announce the incredible British singer-songwriter Jess Glynne will headline the third Live in The Wyldes concert of 2019.

Jess will be heading to The Wyldes, near Bude in North Cornwall on July 6th, 2019, the third act announcement for the summer’s Live in The Wyldes series of shows.

Born and raised in North London, Jess rose to fame in 2013 providing vocals for Route 94’s single My Love which shot to number one in the UK Singles Chart. Clean Bandit approached Jess to feature on their son Rather Be which became the third-fastest selling single and most streamed song of 2014 and won Jess the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.

Combining the very best of pop, soul, R&B, and house music, Jess Glynne brings her powerhouse vocals, fearless delivery, and lyrics that reflect her audiences own experiences and concerns. Jess’ blockbuster debut album I Cry When I Laugh was released in 2015 and has been described as one of the defining British pop records of its era, a statement that can be backed up easily – debuting at number one in the UK, leading to a sold-out UK arena tour, and receiving Brit, MTV: EMA, Ivor Novello, MONO, Q, and Glamour award nomination.

Always In Between Jess Glynne’s second album was released last year, and again debuted at number one in the UK Albums Chart. Jess approaches self-acceptance throughout the album, and this resonates strongly with her audience and, as is seemingly her talent, the album is filled with hit after hit. This isn’t Jess’ main focus when writing ‘I want to make a great album, that’s it’ and that she did.

The Wyldes show will come after Jess will be hitting arenas across the country supporting The Spice Girls on their comeback tour and marks the third grand announcement from the team, following the news that big beat DJ, Fatboy Slim and The Modfather himself, Paul Weller will be headlining shows on June 14th and 15th , 2019.

As one of the south-west’s largest capacity venues and at just two years’ old, Live in The Wyldes has seen critically-acclaimed headline performances from Rag’n’Bone Man, Chase & Status, and Paloma Faith, all supported by a host of incredible artists including Dan Caplen, Shy FX, High Contrast, and Rhys Lewis.

Jess Glynne – along with support acts that are yet to be announced – will be performing at Live In The Wyldes on Saturday July 6th 2019, Presale tickets will be available from 09:00 Wednesday 23rd January 2019, and general sale from 09:00 Friday 25th January 2019 from The Wyldes website. More artists and further dates to be announced soon.

Event co-founder, Sam Dunnett commented “We cannot wait to welcome Jess to The Wyldes this summer, being the first British female solo artist to have 7 number one singles on the UK single chart is no mean feat and we’re thrilled she’ll be bringing them to the stage this coming July.”

The Wyldes is also home to multi award-winning festival, Leopallooza. Which has played host to some of the biggest and best names in music over the past twelve years, as well as introducing thousands of music fans to their new favourite artists. Live in The Wyldes follows in Leopallooza’s grassroots footsteps in bringing internationally renowned artists to Cornwall and throwing a damn good party!

The Wyldes is nestled within a lush, tree-lined valley near Bude, in North Cornwall. Just a few miles from the beach. The site has been created and is maintained using recycled and sustainable materials, as well as following a 0% landfill policy across all events.
